French day was celebrated on 13 July 2023, in full gusto and fervour, at National Public School, Indiranagar, to commemorate the start of the French revolution that overthrew the monarchy. Also known as Bastille Day, the event commenced with a brief about its historical significance. This was followed by an intriguing ramp walk with a twist that brought to us the likes of important personalities, such as the world-renowned scientist Marie Curie, popular historical figure Napolean and charming Celine Dion from the world of Music. A challenging trivia conducted in French, along with an English translator, kept the audience on their toes. The celebration was brought to a fitting finish with a music and dance finale orchestrated by students of Grade 9, leaving everyone with a sense of joie de vivre.
