At National Public School, Indiranagar, we believe that learning extends beyond the walls of the classroom. The students of Grade 1 visited the Association of People with Disability Horticulture Training Centre - Plant Nursery at Jeevan Bima Nagar on 20th September 2023.

The visit to the plant nursery provided our students with a unique opportunity to connect with nature. They explored the vibrant world of plants. During the nursery tour, the dedicated guides explained the ecological significance of plants. Students learned about creepers, climbers, shrubs, herbs and the essential role of plants in maintaining a healthy environment. This hands-on experience brought their science lesson to life. The students got to witness the incredible work done by the differently–abled individuals at the plant nursery. This left us with valuable lessons on determination, resilience, and the power of nurturing life through plants.

It was an enriching experience for both students and the teachers. At the end of the field trip the students left with a green and meaningful gift. Each of them received a plant, which they can nurture and care for.
