The relevance of the adage 'Health is Wealth’ was lucidly demonstrated by Ms. Parul Agarwal, the yoga instructor, through a demonstration of child friendly yoga asanas for the Kindergarteners of National Public School, Indiranagar. There was a fun element to the yoga session as it was supported by the theme, ‘Jungle Safari’ which the instructor adopted to demonstrate different yoga postures. The session was a good blend of prayer, songs, story, bus ride to the jungle, recognition of various animals and practicing their postures. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session as it was interactive, and the addition of making animal sounds enhanced their excitement. The Yoga for Wellness session was very well received by students as it kept them engaged throughout along with creating an understanding in them of the relevance of being fit and healthy.
