KG Diwali Celebrations 2019

The kindergarten students came to school with great excitement, adorned in traditional finery, to celebrate the festival of lights ‘Diwali’. The day began with a captivating act put up by the parents of the KG 1 and KG 2 students, depicting the story of ‘Ramayan’. Each and every character was presented with a sensitivity and humaneness that brought out the very essence of the epic, namely, the triumph of good over evil. For the children, it was an unforgettable exposure to the wonderful heritage of India, and what better way to imbibe it than through an enactment by their own parents. The lessons learnt would remain with them for the rest of their lives. It was no wonder that the children rewarded the performing parents with a rapturous applause at the end of the show. The skit was followed by a diya painting session where they were given the freedom to express their creative genius in painting and designing their diyas. It was a most enjoyable and memorable day, befitting the celebration of one of India’s most vibrant festival of lights.
