The Chairman & faculty members of National Public School, Indiranagar hosted yet another colourful extravaganza Tarang 2019 on 19 December, 2019. The air on the campus reverberated with zeal and enthusiasm as the students of Grades 6 to 9 and 11 showcased a splendid, in-house musical theatrical production – ‘A Twist in the Tale’.
Dr Santhamma Gopalkrishna, Dean, NPS Group of Institutions, NAFL and TISB and Mr Hari Krishnan, CEO, NPS Group of Institutions, NAFL and TISB graced the occasion with their gracious presence.
Our Principal, Ms Shantha Chandran, welcomed the guests and highlighted the shared responsibility of school and parents to cherish and appreciate the uniqueness of each child.
The theatrical dance drama mesmerised the audience with unmatched synchrony, rhythm and finesse. While Grade 6 brought Swami’s adventures to life from Malgudi Days, Grade 7 brought home the idea that a tyrant can’t win over the people through the tale ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’. While Grade 8 spread sparks of laughter with its hilarious play Asterix and Obelix, Grade 9 left the audience awe-struck with their version of Aladdin addressing the need to redeem oneself from clutches of revenge and hatred. Furthermore, Grade 11’s version of Alice in Indianagar, satirically addressed the severity of all the predicaments of today’s time including crime, vanity, corruption and environmental crisis, and captivated the audience.
The resounding applause by the spell bound audience kept true to the legacy of NPS Indiranagar.
