Teachers' Day was celebrated on Thursday, 5 September 2019 at National Public School, Indiranagar. The students and faculty of the school assembled for the school prayer followed by the pledge. The members of the Pahal Unit of Art and Design group were the special invitees to the programme and they felicitated the Principal on the occasion of Teachers’ day for her continued support and guidance to the student fraternity and awarded a trophy to the school for the best performance in creative design events.
The excitement among the students was palpable as the much awaited Inter-house Fusion Dance competition was held. The theme showcased the widely prevalent social evils through spectacular choreography and stunning costumes. It was indeed a visual treat for the teachers and students alike as they thoroughly enjoyed the performances.
The Student Council along with the other students had planned and organized an array of events to acknowledge the importance of teachers in their daily school life. As they recalled fond memories of the various subjects and their teachers who taught them, they called on stage teachers from the various departments to show their appreciation and gratitude with handcrafted banners. This was followed by an interesting musical ensemble specially performed for the teachers by a talented trio who dedicated a mash-up of a popular classical song, with keyboard, cahon and the mridangam. On a finishing note two melodious numbers were rendered by the students specially for their teachers.
The rest of the day was spent in friendly matches and art competitions were held across several grades, finally culminating in the eagerly awaited Inter-house School of Rock , organized by the Music Association. The students rocked all the way with their high energy and amazing rhythm. In short, it was a day of celebrations, of victories and gratitude, the one special day, when the students showed their affection towards their mentors for life.
