From 8th to 14th June 2025, students of National Public School, Indiranagar participated in an international educational tour to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, in Geneva, Switzerland. The visit offered first-hand exposure to one of the world’s leading centres for scientific research.
Students explored major facilities at the Large Hadron Collider, including the ATLAS and ALICE experiments, and learned about advanced concepts in particle physics such as the Higgs boson, neutrinos, supersymmetry, and the Standard Model through interactive sessions with eminent scientists and engineers.
The itinerary also included educational visits to the Red Cross Museum and the United Nations Office at Geneva, providing insights into humanitarian efforts, global peacekeeping, diplomacy, and international cooperation. Recreational activities, including a trip to the Chamonix mountains and exploration of Swiss towns, enriched the experience through cultural immersion and team bonding. This tour inspired scientific curiosity, global awareness, and appreciation for international collaboration.
