At National Public School Indiranagar, we believe that learning extends beyond the walls of the classroom. The students of Grade 1 visited the Association of People with Disability Horticulture Training Centre (Plant Nursery) at Jeevan Bima Nagar on 20 September 2024.

The visit to the plant nursery provided our students with a unique opportunity to explore the flora that is exhibited in the nursery. This field trip was part of their Environmental Studies Curriculum - lesson on Plants. It gave students a visual experience to identify types of plants. This hands-on experience brought their science lesson to life. The students got to witness the incredible work done by the differently – abled individuals at the plant nursery. This left us with valuable lessons on determination, resilience, and the power of nurturing life through plants.

It was an enriching experience for both students and teachers. At the end of the field trip the students left with a green and meaningful gift. Each of them received a plant, which they could nurture and care for.
