Independence Day is a day that evokes many emotions in every Indian.
This year had National Public School, Indiranagar celebrating 75 years of Indian Independence with pomp and fervour.
The tricolour was hoisted on the morning of 15th August followed by a celebration which began with a scintillating dance performance by a group of students.
There were touching and eye-opening speeches by a faculty member and a student, who mentioned the sacrifices of freedom fighters and soldiers who laid down their lives so that we could enjoy and be proud of the India we live in today.
A skit by the students of Grade 9 vividly potrayed the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
All-in-all, it was a well-coordinated and beautifully executed programme.
