KG 2B assembly - Diwali

Diwali is an Indian festival which commemorates the victorious return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after saving his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana. It is a festival of joy, harmony, and victory. The KG2 B students of National Public School, Indiranagar, prepared a small skit to showcase values that can be learnt from the festival of Diwali. They came dressed as the characters in the Ramayana - one of the largest ancient epics in world literature. Through their skit, students confidently portrayed the importance of Diwali, how it signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Towards the end of the programme, they left the audience swaying to the dance steps of the song ‘Diwali aaayi…masti chayi’. The skit ended with a wonderful message “Strive to bring smiles on all those who are less fortunate”.
