The students from Grades 8 and 9 of National Public School, Indiranagar had an interesting session with the renowned columnist and sustainable living enthusiast Ms. Ramya Coushik on 31 July 2024. The hour-long discussion focused on the flora and fauna found around Bangalore. Our students enthusiastically participated in the interactive session as they got their doubts clarified. Ms. Coushik educated the students on the need to live mindfully and sustainably. She spoke about how the rapid deforestation has affected the flora and fauna around Bangalore. She shared her thoughts on how nature suffers on account of human ignorance and lack of empathy.
It wasn't all talk though - the picture quiz on different trees, birds and animals found around Bangalore left our quizzing wizards asking for more. The highlight of the session was the reading recommendations provided by Ms. Ramya Coushik; the students were eager to add those books to their reading list. It was an enriching experience for the students. Thank you Ms. Ramya!
